In a significant development for Türkiye’s defense sector, five domestic companies have made their mark on the 2026 global Top 100 defense companies list, underscoring the nation’s burgeoning prowess in defense production and exports. Leading the Turkish contingent is ASELSAN, which rose to 40th place from its previous standing at 43rd. Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) followed closely, securing the 48th spot, while ARCA Defense made a notable debut at 53rd.
Roketsan also showed impressive growth by climbing to 64th from 71st in the rankings, and MKE rounded out the Turkish representation at 81st. Collectively, these five companies amassed around $14.9 billion in defense-related revenue throughout 2025, a testament to their expanding influence in the sector. ASELSAN led the charge with $4.46 billion, while TAI contributed $3.65 billion. ARCA Defense generated $3 billion, Roketsan $2.37 billion, and MKE $1.42 billion.
The ascent of Turkish defense firms on the global stage is fueled by a rising international appetite for their advanced military technologies. Türkiye’s defense industry has broadened its reach across diverse areas, including military electronics, aerospace, missile systems, and ammunition. This diversification has been pivotal in boosting the country’s manufacturing and export capabilities.
These rankings highlight Türkiye’s growing stature in the global defense market.
