During a two-day official visit to Türkiye, Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir was greeted by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at Ankara Airport. This meeting occurred just before Erdoğan embarked on an official trip to Qatar. Alongside the Turkish president, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Chief of General Staff Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, and National Intelligence Organization Director Ibrahim Kalın were also present. Earlier in his visit, Munir had separate discussions with Bayraktaroğlu.
This visit underscores the ongoing efforts by Türkiye and Pakistan to bolster their strategic partnership, with a significant emphasis on defense collaboration.
