Currently, the bilateral trade volume stands between $1.2 billion and $1.35 billion, a figure they aim to substantially increase towards a long-term target of $5 billion. Discussions also highlighted the potential for increased Turkish investment in Pakistan’s energy, agriculture, transport, and technology sectors.
Defense cooperation emerged as a critical focus during the talks. The discussions addressed the supply of military equipment, joint training programs, intelligence sharing, and the prospect of co-production initiatives, all of which are pivotal to strengthening defense ties. The meeting underscored the importance of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council in facilitating collaboration across these diverse fields.
